We always want to answer your questions. It maybe that you want to know if a product is suitable for pregnancy, how to place an order online or if we deliver to a certain postcode. Ordering for Collection

Should you wish to order online and collect, please let us know what time you will be collecting the cheese when making your online purchase. You will be given that option when you select Click & Collect as you check out.

If ordering online is not your choice, then phone us; have your debit or credit card handy and we will get your order ready.

If you are not able to collect the items in person, please phone us and let us know who will be collecting for you.

Please note that the purchase of alcohol is only available for order by customers who are aged 18 and over.

Ordering for Delivery

When you place an order online or over the phone with us. Each perfect piece of cheese is hand-cut, wrapped and despatched in an inner and outer box. We want that perfection to last right up to the Cheeseboard. So, we use two boxes which (one specifically manufactured to fit snuggly inside another), minimises any damage during transit. We believe that this care makes our deliveries perfect for Gifts and Presents and gives an unrivalled “unwrap” experience.

We also nestle your Artisan Cheese in Wood Wool and not polystyrene bits. (Paper straw compresses and does not provide protection against knocks and bumps). We also pay £1 extra to ensure that the item does not slide down a conveyor belt but is passed by hand at all stages. Each box is labelled as Fragile and contains re-useable ice blocks that keep the temperature consistently cool to ensure the cheeses arrive in a perfect state.

When they arrive. Please place the cheese into the crisper draw of your refrigerator, don’t be tempted to unwrap them until its needed. See our page “Storing Your Cheese.”

If you are not going to be in, please ensure that you specify a safe place to leave the cheese, preferable in a shady spot. You can specify which day you would like your cheese delivered as you check out. The reason for providing your email or mobile phone number is that the courier will message you with your expected 1 hour delivery slot and also let you know when the item is en route.

If the order is to be a gift. Please let us know. We will personalise the order, at no extra charge. Just let us know if its a birthday or anniversary etc. Rest assured, we will not place an invoice into the parcel or leave a price label on any jar or box. Click here to see our video on how your cheese is packaged.

Christmas and New Year 2020

To ensure your cheeses arrive in perfect condition for Christmas, we will deliver between 19th and 23rd December 2020. Make sure your order is with us by 2pm on 19th December for guaranteed Christmas delivery.

Orders for New Years Eve should be received by no later than the 29th January 2020


We accept payment online by Visa & MasterCard cards and by PayPal. Your payment is processed via fully authorised Payment Services Provider which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be successfully processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these your order may not have been placed successfully.

Refunds, Returns and Substitutions

Part of the attraction of Artisan Cheese is that it varies from season to season. From time to time we may not be happy with the quality of a cheese or it may not be available. In this case we may substitute something we consider equally good or better to an equivalent monetary value.

Please notify us within 24 hours of your expected delivery date if you have not received your order or are unhappy with it in any way. Many of the products that we sell are perishable and may not be returned to us after delivery. Should you wish to return a non-perishable product, please telephone the shop. Products which are required to be returned will be returned at the customer’s expense and, provided that they are returned in good condition within 10 working days of the original receipt, a credit will be issued for the price paid.

If we are asked to arrange for collection of the goods, any costs incurred by us will be deducted from any refund. These points do not affect your statutory rights.


If you change your mind, you may cancel the order by giving us 4 working days notice before the scheduled despatch date. The reason that it is 4 days is that we will have ordered your Artisan Cheese from the producer and that element cannot be stopped. We reserve the right to charge a £30 fee to cover any administration charges we may incur. Any refund due will be credited to the Form of Payment you used.

Schedule of Fees for Delivery

APC are our preferred courier. You may elect to use Royal Mail. Please phone the shop should you wish to use Royal Mail. Separate charges apply

The APC UK charge, for an overnight delivery, is to anywhere on the UK mainland, except deliveries to the Highlands of Scotland and some Scottish & English postcodes which attract a higher fee. That is because there are some places the Couriers simply can’t get too in under a day and cost more for delivery. Should APC be unable to deliver to that postcode, you will be contacted prior to despatch.

Finally; Delivery Days

Deliveries for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday & Friday need to be placed by 2pm the day before and will be delivered the following day.

Orders placed on Friday, Saturday & Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday.

We can organise Express delivery for any day of the week at a premium rate. Please call the shop for details.

Postage and Packing

The charge for cheese delivered to nearly all mainland UK postcodes is £7.75. Higher charges apply for many parts of Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Islands. When we receive your order, our Courier will check the postcode. If additional postage is required, we will call you back. The Packaging, as described above, is £6.95 Both inclusive of VAT.
