The Cheese Club by The Cheese Shop Nantwich.
This is a subscription club where members gain access to seasonal artisan cheeses and accompaniments, of which, some of those will only be offered to members. Each month a hamper will be sent out on the last Wednesday of the month. That hamper will contain 4 pieces of cheese with a combined weight of 800g, a jar of chutney and a box of crackers. This is a perfect opportunity to taste unique cheeses that you may not have chosen for yourself.
This couriered, chilled hamper is carefully packaged in multiple layers of protection and finished with ribbon, it will arrive in time for the weekend and is perfect for 4/6 people to enjoy. For you and your guests, this cheeseboard will be an opportunity to discover new tastes, colours and textures alongside old favourites. Letting your guests work out if the cheese derives from a goat, cow or ewes milk. Allow them to guess where it is from or how old it is or what flavour the chutney is; these are just some of the ways that our cheeseboard makes the cheese course an event, not just a course.
Each piece of Artisan cheese is cut the morning of despatch. Wrapped in wax paper, it will keep fresh in your fridges crisper draw for up to two weeks, if unopened. Please refer to our pages “Storing your Cheese” for more information.
The tasting notes will not only provide the history and profile of the cheese, it recommends which wines work best and the chutney that would most augment the taste of the cheeses. The tasting notes will be emailed to you on the day of despatch. As we endeavour to be mindful of the environment, each Hamper and its packaging can be recycled or repurposed; so to save paper, we email the notes.
There are two subscriptions of 3 and 6 months. During the period of your subscription, we guarantee that you will not receive the same cheese twice. If you are away and unable to receive your hamper, just call us on 01270 620799 and we will ‘skip’ a month for you. At Christmas we will ensure that your hamper arrives for Christmas lunch rather than New Years day. Delivery is to most UK postcodes. You can give the entire subscription as a generous gift. As a gift, we will ensure that the first hamper has a gift tag attached. On the check out, select Delivery under Order Type and enter the note you would like us to write onto the gift tag in the Special Instructions field. For Delivery Date select any date and we will adjust the membership start date to the last Wednesday of the month.
