Gift Box Hampers for Collection or Delivery
Each Gift Box hamper can be customised to suit your specific needs. It can include an aged port, vintage cider, hand made biscuits and chutney all supporting the star of the hamper; the Artisan Cheese.
If you wish to collect the Gift Box Hamper we will present it without the outer case of card board.
If you would like the hamper delivered then each perfect piece of cheese is hand-cut, wrapped and despatched in an inner and outer box.
We want that perfection to last right up to the Cheeseboard. So, we use two boxes which (one specifically manufactured to fit snuggly inside another), which minimises any damage during transit.
We believe that this care makes our deliveries perfect for Gifts and Presents and gives an unrivalled “unwrap” experience.
We also nestle your Artisan Cheese in Wood Wool and not polystyrene bits. (Paper straw compresses and does not provide protection against knocks and bumps).
Each box is labelled as Fragile and contains re-useable ice blocks that keep the temperature consistently cool to ensure the cheeses arrive in a perfect state.
Your Courier fee pays a premium to ensure that the item arrives the following day. Nonetheless, with the shortage of drivers, if the weather is forecast to be bad or public holidays then we may send the hamper a day earlier to try and ensure your Hamper arrives on your preferred date.
When they arrive. Please place the cheese into the crisper draw of your refrigerator, don’t be tempted to unwrap them until it’s needed. See our page “Storing Your Cheese.”
If you are not going to be in, please ensure that you specify a safe place to leave the cheese, preferable in a shady spot. We will provide that information to the courier but, to be sure, leave a note on the door.
You can specify which day you would like your cheese delivered as you check out. We do ask for your or your recipients, emails address because you or the recipient can monitor the delivery. We would highly recommend you provide all the information to achieve the smoothest possible delivery of your hamper.
If the order is to be a gift. Please let us know. We will personalise the order, at no extra charge. Just let us know if it’s a birthday or anniversary etc. Rest assured, we will not place an invoice into the parcel or leave a price label on any jar or box.
Delivery
We normally use DPDLocal for delivery in the UK, occasionally the GPO. Our selection is based on speed of delivery. If we are unable to deliver within 48 hours of despatch or the cost of delivery exceeds our standard rate, you will be phoned and you will be given the choice to proceed at the new cost or to cancel and obtain a refund.
England & Wales Postcodes
A standard 24 to 48 hour courier fee applies to nearly anywhere on the English and Welsh mainland. If your order is out for delivery, you can check its status by submitting your courier reference number on their web site.
Remainder of the UK
An additional charge may apply for any items delivered outside of England & Wales and to some isolated regions of England and Wales, also, it may not be possible to achieve a 24-hour delivery to certain postcodes.
If the 48 hour service is not available to your area then you will be contacted to find out how you want to proceed.
Worldwide Delivery
Each country has its own customs regulations relating to the importation of cheese and foods. Our experience of exporting to Europe, the USA and Australia suggests that cheese sent overseas must be covered in wax by the Artisan producer.
In nearly all cases, Customs will stop the shipment for examination. This may involve inserting needles into the body of the cheese through the wax or vac pack. When sending as an unaccompanied gift, delay by customs can add 3 weeks to the delivery time. So if sending waxed Cheese overseas for Christmas, please order early.
Cost for despatch is worked out at the time the order is placed. Payment must be received prior to despatch.
Finally, whilst we use our experience to advise you of the best way to export cheese; be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the Customs regulations at the point of entry,

Hamper Deposit and Cancellation
Orders placed in person or over the phone will require a £15 deposit, unless deemed a Special Order or its a Christmas hamper.
If you cancel after the cheese has been cut then you will lose your deposit.
Any outstanding balances need to be paid before collection or despatch. Goods will not be despatched if the outstanding balance has not been paid, so please provide a contact number where you can be reached when you order your hamper.
If you change your mind, you may cancel the order by giving us 4 working days notice before the scheduled despatch date/collection date. The reason that we require 4 days notice is that we may have ordered the cheese from the Artisan.
We reserve the right to charge a £30 fee to cover any administration charges we may incur. Any refund due will be credited to the Form of Payment you used.
All orders accepted and supplied subject to our standard Terms & Conditions.
Refunds, Returns and Substitutions.
Part of the attraction of Artisan Cheese is that it varies from season to season. From time to time we may not be happy with the quality of a cheese or it may not be available. In this case we may substitute something we consider equally good or better to an equivalent monetary value.
Please notify us within 24 hours of your expected delivery date if you have not received your order or are unhappy with it in any way. Many of the products that we sell are perishable and may not be returned to us after delivery. Should you wish to return a non-perishable product, please telephone the shop. Products that are required to be returned will be returned at the customer’s expense and, provided that they are returned in good condition within 10 working days of the original receipt, a credit will be issued for the price paid.
If we are asked to arrange for collection of the goods, any costs incurred by us will be deducted from any refund. These points do not affect your statutory rights.
