Product Description

Bath Soft cheese is a full-flavoured, creamy, organic, Brie-style cheese made to an original 19th century recipe.

It is made from the milk of the farm’s own herd of cows, by Hugh and Graham Padfield at Kelston, Bath.

Each cheese is distinctively square in shape and delivers a wonderfully mushroomy flavour with a slight citrus twist.

The cheese is  soft and yielding with a white bloomy rind and, once cut into, reveals an ivory-coloured interior. It comes wrapped in parchment paper with a red wax seal which looks stunning.

This Cheese dates back to the time of Admiral Lord Nelson who, in 1801, was sent some by his father as a gift. It was also recorded that Nelson’s sent some Bath Soft Cheese to his sweetheart, who was ‘gratified’ by the flavour of this cheese.

The cheese weighs approximately 260 grammes and is a perfect and distinctive cheese on the family cheeseboard and is best taken from the fridge about an hour before serving.
