We always want to answer your questions. It maybe that you want to know how to place an order online or if we deliver to a certain postcode. Phone us on 01270 620799 and we will happily answer your questions. If we are unavailable at that time, we will call you back as soon as we can.
Special Orders
Due to the short shelf life of certain items, we will order directly from the Artisan for you; this is called a special order.
Changes to an Order

Click & Collect
Should you wish to order online and collect, please let us know what time you will be collecting the cheese when making your online purchase. You will be given that option when you select Click & Collect as you check out.
If ordering online is not your choice, then phone us; have your debit or credit card handy and we will get your order ready.
If you are not able to collect the items in person, please phone us and let us know who will be collecting for you.
Please note that the purchase of alcohol is only available for order by customers who are aged 18 and over.

Orders for Delivery
We can courier certain products to anywhere in the world. Those items will be securely, double wrapped and may contain an ice pack. Just phone us on 01270 620799 or email us on info@cheeseshopnantwich.co.uk and we will be glad to help.
Weight & size of the items bought will determine how many packages are to be couriered. If we need to split the delivery over a number of parcels then you will be phoned and given the choice to modify the order, cancel it or to proceed.
We normally use DPDLocal for delivery in the UK, occasionally the GPO. Our selection is based on speed of delivery. If we are unable to deliver within 48 hours of despatch or the cost of delivery exceeds our standard rate, you will be phoned and you will be given the choice to proceed at the new cost or to cancel.
UK Postcode Delivery.
A standard 24 hour courier fee applies to mostly everywhere in England and Wales.
Scotland and Northern Ireland; normal courier fees apply unless delivered to some isolated regions.
In any case, if the standard rate does not cover the cost of delivery, you will be phoned and you will be given the choice to proceed at the new or to cancel.
Worldwide Delivery.
Each country has its own customs regulations relating to the importation of cheese and foods. Our experience of exporting to Australia suggests that cheese sent overseas must be covered in wax and vac-packed. But you are wise to double check.
Courier: for all destinations. Customs may stop the shipment for examination if sent by courier. When sending as an unaccompanied gift/personal property, delay by customs can slow delivery by (in most cases) up to a week. Customs may open the package to test/check it. If we are despatching the cheese, on your behalf, we will complete the customs paperwork, although we will do our best, we cannot be held responsible if the cheese is impounded.
On your person: for all destinations. You should complete all paperwork accurately and present to customs at point of entry. Customs may ask to see the cheese to test it. Best placed in your hold baggage as it will be cooler there.
Cost for despatch are worked out at the time the order is placed. Payment must be received prior to despatch.
Finally, whilst we use our experience to advise you of the best way to export cheese; be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the Customs regulations at the point of entry,
Gift Hampers for Collection or Delivery.
Gift hampers for collection can either be created on a tray or in a special gift box.
The tray hampers are open and wrapped in ribbons and cellophane; these can be preordered and collected (see Click & Collect above). Each one is bespoke to your personal needs.
Gift box hampers for delivery are shown online and can be customised to create a bespoke hamper specific to your needs. See our page Hampers for Delivery.
If you are not going to be in on the delivery date; please ensure that you specify a safe place to leave the cheese, preferable in a shady spot. You can specify which day you would like your cheese delivered at check out. The reason for providing your email or mobile phone number is that the courier will message you to let you know when the item is on the way.
If your order is out for delivery, you can check its status by submitting your tracking Number on their website.
Hamper Delivery Days
Deliveries for Wednesday, Thursday & Friday need to be ordered by 2pm the day before delivery.
Orders placed on Saturday & Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday.
We can organise Express deliveries on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday at a premium rate. Please call the shop for details.
GPO
Due to the volume of parcels the GPO handle and the potential for delay, we will not offer this service from the 5th December to 5th January.
Payment Confirmation
We accept payment over the phone by Visa & MasterCard cards and by
PayPal over the internet. Your payment is processed via fully authorised Payment Services Provider which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these your order may not have been placed successfully.
Hamper Deposit and Cancellation
Orders placed in person or over the phone will require a £15 deposit. If sending a Christmas Hamper please refer to our page Christmas Orders. If you cancel after the cheese has been cut then you will lose your deposit. Any outstanding balances need to be paid before collection or despatch. Goods will not be despatched if the outstanding balance has not been paid, so please provide a contact number where you can be reached when you order your hamper.
If you change your mind, you may cancel the order by giving us 4 working days notice before the scheduled despatch date/collection date. The reason that it is 4 days is that we will have ordered your Artisan Cheese from the producer and that element cannot be stopped. We reserve the right to charge a £30 fee to cover any administration charges we may incur. Any refund due will be credited to the Form of Payment you used.

Refunds, Returns and Substitutions
Part of the attraction of Artisan Cheese is that it varies from season to season. From time to time we may not be happy with the quality of a cheese or it may not be available. In this case we may substitute something we consider equally good or better to an equivalent monetary value.
Please notify us within 48 hours of your expected delivery date if you have not received your order or are unhappy with it in any way. Many of the products that we sell are perishable and may not be returned to us after delivery. Should you wish to return a non-perishable product, please telephone the shop. Products which are required to be returned will be returned at the customer’s expense and, provided that they are returned in good condition within 10 working days of the original receipt, a credit will be issued for the price paid.
If we are asked to arrange for collection of the goods, any costs incurred by us will be deducted from any refund. These points do not affect your statutory rights.
