Nantwich Blue

Nantwich Blue is a mild soft, creamy, blue veined white cheese made with  traditional and unvarying cheese making methods using pasteurised cows milk and vegetarian rennet.

First made to celebrate the centenary of Nantwich Agricultural Society in 1997 it has become a firm favourite of Nantwich folk both young and old and remains to be one of our best selling blue cheeses.

It is  made from cow’s full fat milk from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire, with a smooth texture and clean, distinctive flavour. It is ready for consumption after three to four weeks of ripening and is known as one of the mildest of British blue cheeses but it still has that wonderful and delicious blue taste.

It works particularly well with fresh figs and perhaps a drizzle of local Nantwich Honey on a plain biscuit or even better a crusty hunk of bread
