Oak Smoked Garlic grown and aged naturally in Shropshire. Oak Smoked Garlic gains it dark brown colour by applying gentle heat over several weeks, using oak smoked chips. The sugars break down and caramelises. When a clove is pressed a caramelised paste emerges. This is not a substitute for white garlic. The aroma is heady with wood smoke and the pungent smell of garlic is prominent. Mash into butter to make a fantastic smoky garlic butter that adds a great twist to garlic bread or generously heaped onto baked potato. Bake a whole head until the cloves are soft then squeeze them into a stew or stir through pasta to give it another layer of flavour
