Product Description

Hafod means ‘Summer pasture’ in English. A Welsh organic Cheddar style cheese hand-made by the Holden family from the milk of their Ayrshire herd on Wales’ longest certified organic dairy farm, Bwlchwernen Fawr.

The family uses only the milk from their 65 Ayrshire cows to make Hafod. Ayrshire milk is rich in butterfat and protein, and is widely regarded as being ideally suited to cheesemaking.

This is a Cows unpasturised milk cheese made with animal rennet, perfectly accompanied by a cool cider, a light ale or a full bodied red.
