This is a delicious variation of the traditional medieval recipe known as Panforte (or strong bread), for which Siena is renowned. Made using generous amounts of locally-grown walnuts and figs, 35% Italian walnuts, 24% Italian figs and local honey. Enjoy thin slices with cheese and desserts. Handmade by a family bakery in Siena Province.
