Artisan Cheese and South American Wines

Join us at The Cheese Shop Nantwich to discover South American wines and cheeses in an informal and imaginative way.

Indulge in an evening of South American wines supplied by our partner, Sommelier; Mark Jeffries. Mark has recently returned from visiting vineyards in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. As well as tasting some amazing wines from these countries, you’ll also hear a few stories… including the background of the Stone Bull at Vina Requingua and how a family owned winery has grown from one man selling bottles from a basket on the front of his bike in 1937 to now being one of the largest wineries in Argentina.

Mark will take you on a journey across the Andes and then on to Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay and will talk about the intricacies of some outstanding South American wines; their regions and vineyards.

Nick will explain the provenance and production of the Artisan Cheese which he has especially selected to pair with the wine.

On arrival, enjoy a glass of fizz as you view our cheese theatre before moving upstairs to our tasting room.

Cheeses are served with a presentation of their history, style, production method and taste. Mark will discuss the pairing and how to taste the perfect wine.

The start time is 7pm and will run for approximately 150 minutes.
